Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to classical music, old boleros, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana likes tangos as much as opera and various dramatic kinds. Ana started learning how to sing as well as play musical instruments in the early years by her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she re-located to her present home in Southern California. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. The passion and love she has for arts, music as well as performing, keeps her active in a myriad of local activities as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
