Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. They moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five where she attended at the Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. When she was 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing and dance. In a school play and a Stagecoach Production, Emma took the lead at the age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaption to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was found by agents through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that following eight auditions Emma as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The film set records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The critics were impressed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma's performance was recognized and won five awards later for the movie.
